This is the side of Upstate New York that I ignored for years. Normally we would only go downtown or grocery shopping or whatever, never bothering with the roads less traveled. This is another from the Plotter Kill Preserve (or at least nearby). Some friends of mine wanted to visit it, I was uncomfortable being "the photographer" around them, since this was my first time meeting two of them and my first time even doing anything with one outside of school. I only really brought my camera along with the intention of getting snapshots of my buddies. We walked all the way through the preserve, with no idea what we were getting ourselves into having showed up at the wrong trailhead, back to the trailhead my friend and I originally started at. We walked back around the preserve since we were too tired to hike back the way we came, this was a scene off the side of the road on the way back.
